A bar has stood on the site of the Curracloe Tavern for over 400 years. Like many pubs in Ireland began life as a punch house and bottling its own beer.
It's safe to say a lot has changed over the years, however, many things have remained the same.
The Tavern is still a family run, friendly, warm and welcoming country pub. It acts as a meeting place and social hub to the community - who’s members welcome strangers and visitors as if they had lived in the locality all their lives.
Here you will find everything you might expect from a country pub, including a pool table, dartboard, friendly card games, live music and a jukebox for when the musicians aren’t around.
Sit and relax in front of the open fire sipping your favourite tipple whilst cheering on your team in their latest sporting endeavour, what ever the event, we show them all.
The Hanrahan family and their staff who have run the hotel and bar since 1987 will be happy to serve your every need including a free local lift home at the end of your evening.
