Things To Do

Curracloe Beach

One of the highlights of our area is the spectacular coastline, boasting around 18 miles of Blue Flag beach. From Raven’s Point and the peaceful forest walks at Cullentons Gap, to White Gap (also known as Winning Post), and the famous Ballinesker Beach — film location for Saving Private Ryan — there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

During the summer months, lifeguards are on duty at designated points — please check for lifeguard flags before entering the water to ensure safe swimming. If you need any assistance or recommendations, our reception team will be more than happy to help. Learn more here.

Blakes Restaurant

Open seven-days-a-week, 365 days a year. Our restaurant is renowned for value and its good hearty food, made with locally sourced quality produce, which is cooked with care. Our Sunday Carvery has an array of dishes and is one of the largest in the South-East, with up to 500 people visiting us every week. The restaurant which can comfortably seat 90 people is also ideal for parties and functions of all variates. Served daily from 12:00 to 21:00. The Tavern Bar

A bar has stood on the site of the Curracloe Tavern for over 400 years. Like many pubs in Ireland began life as a punch house and bottling its own beer.

It's safe to say a lot has changed over the years, however, many things have remained the same.

The Tavern is still a family run, friendly, warm and welcoming country pub. It acts as a meeting place and social hub to the community - who’s members welcome strangers and visitors as if they had lived in the locality all their lives.

Here you will find everything you might expect from a country pub, including a pool table, dartboard, friendly card games, live music and a jukebox for when the musicians aren’t around.

Sit and relax in front of the open fire sipping your favourite tipple whilst cheering on your team in their latest sporting endeavour, what ever the event, we show them all.

The Hanrahan family and their staff who have run the hotel and bar since 1987 will be happy to serve your every need including a free local lift home at the end of your evening.
